I captured a reception for Melissa and Andrew at the beautiful The Ruth. They were supposed to get married in Asheville a month before, but due to the hurricane damage, they Plan B’ed it and found a local venue to have their ceremony at. So they entered their wedding reception last night as husband and wife, and partied with all their family and friends! A live band, espresso martini tower, lottery ticket favors, and lots of cowboy hats later …. the full celebration of this couple’s marriage was complete! Congrats and thanks for welcoming me into the crew for a night!
How did you meet?
We met at Dressler’s restaurant where I was working at the time serving. He had come in for a rehearsal dinner in our private dining room where I was assigned that night. He gave me his number on the back of his name card. I texted it the next day. We ended up going out for drinks later and closed down the bar talking.
How did he propose?
We were in Quebec City, Canada on a family trip. We had stopped at the ice hotel to visit (very beautiful and unique). He told me I had dropped something, and when I looked, it was the name card I had kept that he gave me when we met. Pondering how the hell that was on me, I realized pretty soon that he was proposing.
For the Groom | What do you love most about your girl?
I love her compassion and love that she gives to me and her friends and family. She is extremely thoughtful and always goes the extra mile to let people know she is thinking about them.
For the Bride | What do you love most about your guy?
This is the hardest question for me, because there are multiple things that I love the most about Andrew, one doesn’t outweigh another. Andrew is a good, genuine person. I absolutely love how we can have deep conversations about everything, but also not take life too seriously.
